The new blanket

It was getting to warm at night lately so we turned down the air conditioner. It gets chilly than usual nights and J's blanket is now too small for her after tossing it into the dryer repeatedly.

I remembered that our little Santa (aka the sis and aunt) has gotten her quite a few receiving blankets during her newborn days so I dug them out last night. We didn't use it in the end since I turned up the air conditioner (again!) to the usual temperature once Big and Little were asleep. The blankets remained in a ziplock bag on the ground.

This evening, while J was engaging in her latest favourite activity - walking around the house while holding on to my hands - she walked into our bedroom and stopped at the bag of blankets.
She released my hands and went down on her fours before giving the bag a loud pat. I guessed what she wanted.

"Okay! You get your new blanket tonight. Come. Let's go out of the room now."

She pulled my legs to stand, and happily strutted (? staggered?) out of the room.

She got what she wanted and is currently snuggling under that new, big, soft blanket.

Sweet dreams, my baby!
