Super Simple Songs

My mummy has been urging me to play songs/music while Baby sleeps - not something I always remember to do.
And as I'm typing this, I realise she wasn't the only one who told me that. My friends, relatives... Anyone who has kids might have given me the same advice.

I bought a CD with popular children's songs shortly after I gave birth. Loved the songs while I was at the store, but after listening to it for a couple of times, I didn't quite like it anymore. Some of the melodies were very different from how I remember it to be. And the lyrics. My... Have you ever looked at the lyrics of children's songs and wonder why they are even categorised as kids' songs because they just sound so wrong?

So I decided not the play the CD (don't ask me why,I'm not quite sure either) and scoured YouTube for the songs. I was certain I can definitely find something. And I'm very glad I did that because I stumbled upon Super Simple Songs.

I was sold after watching the first video.
The songs are slow, educational, classic (not like some rock versions) and calming .
They have link to their website which contains resources and activities to complement the songs.
I love that!
I don't think we could go wrong with the resources since they are created by educators! :)

I subscribed to their YouTube channel and followed them on Pinterest immediately.

Lil' J is still, well, very little so I can only let her listen to the songs. Can't wait for her to be older so that we can watch the videos together and have fun with the activities which I know I will enjoy (and hopefully she does too.)
