"Let mama kiss you."
"NO."
Just when I thought we have arrived at the stage where there'll no longer be good morning and good night kisses, J went back to all squishy-cuddly and kisses again.
That day when I was aching from carrying her the whole day, it's as though she knew. She gave me multiple pecks on my lips.
That very night, I walked into the bedroom after preparing her night feed, to a husband who exclaimed a little helplessly, "She keeps kissing me. On the lips!"
The kisses have lasted a week already. Though not on the lips anymore.
Each weeknight, J comes to us and give her daddy a peck on his arm, then mine, then his, then mine... Could have been an excuse to run around the bed but we are all enjoying it.
I know such moments won't last long. When she's older, she's (probably) going to hate kisses again.
So I'm appreciating all the kisses I get, and jotting it down for posterity's sake.
