{Grandma School} Punggol Ranch Resort

Outdoor learning seems to the theme of last week's Grandma School.

We went to the temples to pray.
We went for nature walks.
My dad even drove us all the way to Punggol Ranch Resort to take the look at the horses.
We promised J views of horses a couple of months back when we went to Pasir Ris Park, but when we arrived, we saw that Gallop Stables was under renovation. Even though J tried to be very cool about it, we caught that look of disappointment in her eyes.

So, hello Punggol Ranch!
Finally!

We spotted only two ponies that day.
I'm not sure it's the heat of the mid-day but most of the horses remained in the stables and these two ponies were the closest we could get too.

But a kid being a kid, J was satisfied looking at them.

I love the tranquility. There was no crowd on the day we went.
It felt like a holiday.
Just look at the view.
If only the weather was a cooling 25 degrees instead of the scorching 30-odd we had that day.

Don't you think the rooms resemble a covered wagon?
I tried to convince The Husband that we should try a night's stay there just for fun.
He said "No. Not especially when our home is just a bus ride away."

Sure, Hubby.
It would be fun if we have a huge bunch of friends together and if the weather is cool.

We saw signs to a rabbit park so I was hoping that J could look at some bunnies up close too.
But we couldn't find it.
We were also a tad disappointed that the Cowboy Mart was closed.
It looks abandoned, actually. (I hope it isn't.)

We stayed for about 30 minutes and decided to head home because the sun was so unforgiving.

I'd love to take J there again one day.
On a much cooler day.
Hopefully we will get to experience more fun then.
