{Dear Baby} Eight.

Dear Baby,
This post is so late because we have both been down with a pretty nasty flu over the past week.
And "flu" and "using the brains" don't make very good friends.

So, anyway, my dear bub, you turned eight months old while we were both recovering from flu. What a way to spend the day. And that means that we have yet to take a photo of you while you hit 8 months old.

Being seven months old must have been great for you because you've hit quite a few milestones and chalked up quite a bit of achievements.

You grew teeth!
One on top, and one at the bottom. I'm so missing your toothless smile.

And those arms have grew!
For the longest time, no matter how I stretch your arms above your head, you hands will NEVER touch. I guess that's what makes a baby adorable. This month I tried, your fingers could touch.
Big girl, eh?

You continue to cruise comfortably with the support of the couch, or the playpen. Then you decided to take things to a different level and learnt to balance yourself without support for a good 5-8 seconds. You even attempted to push yourself up into standing position but often ended up like you're doing a wrong kind of push up. But you are getting there.

You surprised popo and I when you suddenly got into praying position one day. Directly at the Goddess of Mercy.
Then. you. prayed!
It was wonderful to watch.

Bath times continue to be your favourite and our dreaded now that you learnt how to stand in the tub, and make giant splashes by hitting the water with your hands.

We also noticed that the colour black seems to intrigue you quite a bit. Aren't all babies supposed to hate black? Not you, my baby.

One week away from you while we were recovering from flu felt like eternity. I'm glad we're both on the road to recovery and I'm happy that you are growing so well.

As I watch you learning new things each, I know my next milestone letter for you will be a great one, and I look forward to that.

Love you my baby!

Smooches and cuddles,
Mommy
