Car-less

It's official!

We sold our dear ole' family car over the weekend. It wasn't an easy decision because we are after all, rather used to the convenience (and luxury) of having our own transport.

We have been contemplating the sale of the car a couple of months back.
Since it is pretty convenient for the husband to get to work via public transport and we usually - only - go to the malls on weekends, we figured that the money spent on the car can be put to better use.
Milk powder?
Better food?
Perhaps a vacation?
(Oh! We welcome a vacation anytime!)

Of course, it should be relatively easy since we are pretty connected to town by train. Our only challenge is to get in the train if it's crowded and hope that no one disses our stroller. It really isn't that big.
But it is very necessary.
Especially when not many people are as willing to give up seats to those with babies, or even expectant mothers and elderly nowadays. You get the drift.

We are hoping that by going car-less, we can more effectively plan out our weekends instead of sitting at home, wasting hours thinking where we should head off too.

It's a little strange but I felt a sense of relief after we sold the car. Having a car here seems more like a liability than asset. Perhaps a vacation was really the motivation.

We'll be spending our first car-less weekend soon and I'm pretty excited to know what that entails! Hoping for more wonderful weekends of family fun and baking ahead!
