Dear Baby,
You celebrate your turning of seven months old by recovering from a bout of diarrhoea.
It's not quite a pleasant experience but you are so brave when dealing with it.
The past month at 6 months old, you've given us more laughter with your antics.
We gave you Farley's Rusks one day when your gum seem to be itching and gnawing on your fingers, arms, feet and our hands doesn't help in making you feel better. For the rest of the day, you open and shut your mouth like a nutcracker, exerting so much force on that tiny jaws of yours.
Nowadays you will still randomly give us the 'nutcracker mouth'. Funny baby!
You seem to understand what we say too.
When your nainai said that she will spank your bum if you misbehave, you put your hands on her mouth as if to shut her. (We experimented and each time she says "Da Pi Gu", you will push your hands on her mouth.) Too much of a coincidence?
You are very fair too. When two people stick out their arms asking "Who do you want to carry you?", you'll look at both of them, ponder for a little while, then hold both of them. This makes the grandparents really happy.
And your tongue. You like to stick out your tongue a lot lately and that makes you look really mischievous!
As for developments..
Milk times are more fun (for me) now that you have learnt to hold your bottle. I can actually get something done while you are drinking your milk. Which is good since you command my full attention when you are awake. I love how you hold the bottle with one hand so that you can play with the other.
You've learnt to learnt to cruise a couple of days after you realised you could pull yourself to stand with support. And cruising along the playpen has become your favourite activity.
You still don't really want to sit up on your own. I caught you sitting on my own on a few occasions but I never figured out how you did that.
A couple of firsts this month..
You've graduated to a high chair during meal times when we are outside!
And when you visited your great-grandmother, you saw a real dog up close for the first time. I was a little worried that you will be startled by its bark. But you surprised me when you smiled at the loudest bark. (I jumped.)
And well..diarrhoea..
Get better soon my baby.
Now that you are growing older, the coming months will get more exciting and I look forward to having more fun together with you!
Cuddles and smooches,
Mommy
