Hallo, my big girl.
You are really a big girl already, aren't you?
Within this month, you have progressed so much and have become so independent.
Quite a few milestones met, and honestly, I'm a little overwhelmed.
You're growing so fast.
Too fast.
This is a major milestone - you shifted into your new 'bedroom' a few days before you turned 2.5 years old.
It was by accident and somehow happened naturally.
We are all so proud of you, and you are darn proud of yourself.
That look on your face when you wake each morning and realised, you slept on your own (with your animal friends and the stars) - priceless.
You are also learning to button up now.
You did mine somehow so I guess that's what motivated you.
Sometimes it worked. Sometimes it doesn't. And you get really frustrated.
You have also been extremely helpful in the kitchen and around the house.
We baked a bread together.
We have also upgraded your wiper stick into a handheld vacuum and you do your chores very seriously. I'm not supposed to cover the areas you did because you "just cleaned it and it's very, very clean now."
You talk like an adult.
You gave me "well done, mama!" hugs when you think I need some encouragement.
And you are not stingy on complimenting others.
You also love pretend play.
I gave you a vet kit toy set since we were talking about occupations this month, and you played with it for days. It's been 3 days and you're still very much excited about opening your clinic each morning.
We are also hearing you tell and retell stories.
Some, it was memorisation.
Some, you retold by looking at the pictures.
And the funniest ones were when you try to tell a story while looking at a blank notebook.
Love your imagination.
BUT...
growing up also meant that you are a lot more vocal in expressing yourself.
We have been getting a lot of "I DON'T WANT"s lately.
This, not so enjoyable.
I'm hoping we move on from this phase soon.
That said, you are still my happy little bub most of the time, so stay that way.
Love you loads.
Cuddles and smooches,
Momma
