We are also getting more "princess play" and dressing-up role-play.
J has a hooded blanket in her playroom, one she pulled out from the bag of preloved clothes. That blanket was the changing mat for a while- when she wanted to change the diapers on her stuff toys. (They actually do wear some preloved nappy covers that J pulled out too.)
That night, she realised that she could put the hooded towel on her head, and managed to do so with my assistance. I saw her smiling at her own reflection and I knew what she was thinking, so I asked her, "What do you look like?"
"Princess. :)"
Then she walked around the playroom and continued with her usual "marketing" pretend-play. My mind strayed, I was barely focusing on what she said. She stretched out her arm in front of me. I know she "bought" something. I heard it as "baobao" (bread) - she always "buys" bread - so I pretended to chomp on it.
In a very concerned and panicky tone, J went, "Mama! Don't eat this!" She proceeded to clean my mouth.
Turns out she bought a ball this time.
Explains her panic.
