You are just a month away from your first birthday and you are already acting like a big kid. Where did my squishy little baby go?
Your hair is longer now, so when I tuck it behind your ears, you look really sweet. (And finally like a little girl!)
When you give your wide toothy smile, you melt hearts.
Hair clips are your favourite accessories to play with and you know they go on the hair - that amused us quite a bit. You will try to place the hairclip on your hair, or touch your hair when you spot one.

You also love to put on shoes.
When we went shoe shopping for a pair of shoes for your yiyi's wedding, we tried a couple pair on you to see how they fit. By the third pair, you learnt how to request to put on shoes - you stick out your foot.

But all the girly stuff ends here. You, my little bub, are such an active girl.
You just learnt how to stand up on your own today and you wouldn't stop practicing. If you haven't noticed, your physical milestones tend to challenge conventions. You learnt to stand and cruise before you learnt how to sit. You learnt to walk before you knew how to stand by yourself. But you did it all today, and walked around the house as you fancy. Credits to your jiu jiu once again because you wanted to show him that you could stand on your own.
You now start to make requests and you do so with a really loud "AH!" And boy, are you assertive.
On a couple of occasions, you called "papa" and "popo". I thought they sounded the same initially but they sound different indeed. Yes I checked. I made you say it one after another.
You like "Ten Little Indian Boys" now because you like to go put your hand on your mouth and go "ahwawawawa".
Daddy is away on a work trip this week and your sensibility amazes us. You have no problems "camping" over at popo's house. You wait quietly for extremely short video calls with Daddy. Your face lights up when you see Daddy's face. I'm sure you miss him, even though you didn't pay much attention to him at the airport. And when I ask you "Where's Daddy?", you'll reply "Ah wo (at work)" each time.
Teething is a challenge this mouth. You are sprouting two teeth on your lower gum and any teeth growing from your lower gum is a pain. Literally. You bite a lot.
My thoughts are very incoherent, as you can see. So many fun bits this month and I couldn't quite keep track. I try to recall the details but they come in bits and pieces. I hope you will be able to make sense of it somehow.
One more month to the big 1.
One more month to toddler-hood.
I know I'm going to miss my soft squishy wee one. But I also know that it will also mean lots of fun and adventures for us.
Love you lots silly baby.
Mummy
