The 9th month into motherhood and I truly enjoy it.
This one whole month is full of fun and laughter and milestones!
For the past month, you...
Learnt to play "peek-a-boo"
I think gonggong and popo taught you these when you stayed over at their place that one week I was unwell.
You will tilt your head to the side when we say "niao!" and you have learnt to pull the blanket over your face and pull it down again to play peek-a-boo.
Learnt to seek for hidden objects
It's no use trying to hide the remote control from you now. You know that we hide it under the cushions and now that you have the strength to toss the cushions away, you would. Just so you can get hold of the remote control.
Showered
Using the shower head! And you were such a sport about it. In fact, we think that you enjoy your showers as much as your baths
Like to fan things
I don't know how you do it but you like to hold things up and wave them as if you are fanning yourself.
Hold the milk bottle with one hand
So that the other is available for you to play with your hair and ear.
But you can only do this lying down. You haven't quite figured out how to drink on your own while sitting up.
Indicate when you want to eat
You will pull the high chair hard, and when we try to put you in the seat, sit down voluntarily.
Started on puffs
And somehow got addicted to it. You just keep asking for it.
Enjoy walking while holding onto our hands
Crawling is not as fun for you anymore. Neither is cruising in the playpen.
You want us to carry you, then struggle so that we place you on the ground.
Then holding on to our hands, walk in whatever direction you want.
On some days, you walk around the house as if you are doing an inspection.
Enjoy reading
Finally!
You need me to read to you everyday.
Sometimes you walk to the bookshelves where your books are and wait for me to pick out the books.
These are your current favourites.
Hum along during lullabies
Your songs-of-the-month would be "Part of Your World", "A Whole New World", and "Winter Wonderland".
Sign along during "Twinkle Twinke Little Star"
You've learnt to open and close your hands. You love it when we sing "Twinkle Twinkle Little Star".
On one very rare occasion, while I was dressing you after your bath, you opened and closed your hands and went "tar."
Cuddled to sleep with us
I don't know how it happened but you like to fall asleep on our bed now. The cot has become your playground.
Went to River Safari
And had a very good time.

Became very chatty
And you have been really chatty this month.
You gasp at the sight of buses. You go "Ohhh..." in awe.
At one point you went "ba ba bao bao" the entire day.
At 8 months old...
Babbles:
"Ow!"
"Ho!"
"La di"
"Lahhhhhhhh"
"Ah ba ba ba ba..."
"Bao bao bao"
Weight: 8.8 kg
Number of teeth: 4 (four already?!)
