The 'Frozen' Charm

We caught on the 'Frozen' fever late, but we caught it nonetheless.

When Frozen aired in the theatres a couple of months back, W sent me the song "Let It Go" and told me it is really nice. I listened to it for a different purpose - there were things I needed to let go and I was hoping the song could help.
It did, for a while.
Then it started to remind me of the things I was unable to let go of and I stopped listening to it completely.

Until I saw this version on Facebook.

It is so hilarious that I began searching for other versions of the song.
And I came across this one.

We I sang along and held J in my arms while we danced to the song. Twice.

Fast forward a few weeks...

I realise "Let It Go" works like a charm in this household.
It's almost like a petrifying spell.
No kidding.

If J tosses and turns during her diaper change, I'll only need to go
"The snow glows white on the mountains tonight..."
and.she.STOPS.
She'll turn back on her back and look at me, and the diaper change proceeds with ease.

And when she fusses and cries, and no amounts of cuddles and rocking would calm her,
I'll just need to go "The snow glows white on the mountains tonight..." (again.) and she stops crying almost immediately.

I don't know what magic is in the song.
The catchy tune?
The meaningful lyrics?
If grown up men and women are singing it, and if unwell kids at clinic are singing and dancing to it
AND J responds to it only after listening to it twice, it tells a lot about the song.

Who knows, there might really be a teeny bit of magic in it. *
