Good morning, 2014!

With the community Countdown Party just across the road, this year's countdown was definitely more interesting than the past two years'. Well, with the songs blasting in the background and all the cheering, there's no way I can get away from the countdown!

We participated by looking out of our window. There were no fireworks, but we heard the ships in the distance and saw the flares they set off. :) Definitely something new!

It is also especially meaningful as this is the first year we usher in the new year with our wee one. I am probably a bad momma but I let Lil' J sleep in the living room while we watched tv and waited for the clock to strike twelve. She woke at midnight, as if she knew. 

So, good morning 2014!

May this year be a really good one, with lots of joy, laughter and love.

I finally witnessed her 'smile-so-wide' toothless smile. What a great start to 2014!
