Dear Baby,
These couple of weeks, you'd have started tasting bits of
- veggie porridge cooked lovingly by granny
- chicken rice
- random mix of pasta
- some steamed fish
- a little Xiao bai cai
- more double-boiled chicken essence
- a lot of mantous and buns
- delicious chicken wings from Fengshan Market
- pancakes
- orange juice
- fish and chips
- grapes
- fresh milk (we know that didn't work out too well)
Your movements are more obvious lately. It's no longer just gentle jabs and flutters.
Some days, it feels like you are swinging your arms or legs. Swiping the insides of my belly.
It's ticklish.
When that happens, I can't help but giggle.
I love that feeling. It's so surreal.
Some days they feel like hard kicks.
My eyes pop and I get startled.
And I wonder if you have enough space to move inside.
We are starting to see you move, instead of just feeling it.
When I place a pillow on my tumtum, you tend to kick it.
Daddy has been reading you stories. Do you hear him?
He has also been going all puppy-eyed and cooing at the little newborn clothes we come across.
He fumbles with the tiny buttons but he is so eager to dress you and change your nappies.
He loves that you respond with a twitch or a jab when he asks you a question.
We'll be seeing you soon at the next appointment on Friday.
I can't wait.
Remember to say hello and wave to us.
We love you!
